Relationships & marriage
Marriage between two real players is one of the headline social features. Here is what is confirmed and what we are still checking.
Real weddings between real players
The developer has publicly added real in-game weddings to Lagos Life — alongside babies and sibling ties. So a relationship is not a cosmetic label; two players can actually commit to each other inside the game and build a shared life.
How a relationship builds
- Meet & date. It starts with meeting a real player and dating.
- Grow it over time. Like real life, relationships deepen through repeated interaction, not a single click.
- Make it official. A wedding is the milestone — a public, in-game event between the two of you.
Being honest about the details
We have confirmed that weddings exist; the step-by-step (how you propose, whether there is a cost, what marriage changes about your game) is something we are verifying in-game. We will fill in the exact mechanics once we have seen them ourselves rather than copying another guide's guess.
Partnerships are also practical
Beyond romance, a trusted partner is a genuine advantage: someone you can pool resources with, split costs like rent, and rely on in an economy full of strangers. That trust is valuable precisely because most players are strangers.
Trust, but verify
The flip side of a transfer system is that “partners” can be con artists. Never move your whole balance to someone because they are your in-game spouse, and never share login details. A real partner never needs your password. See Chat & Scams.
